I recently attended the pre-Darmstadt meeting of the Composer-Performer course with excellent mentors Jennifer Walshe and David Helbich at this incredible place - PAF (Performing Arts Forum) in St. Erme, France. We're working with examining process, fluctuating between the roles of composer/performer and integrating extra-musical elements in sound-based work. The course will continue at the Darmstadt International Summer Course for New Music coming up in July/August, and culminate in a gallery performance.

I touched down briefly in Montreal for some rehearsals with ensemble vocal ina and Architek Percussion for our upcoming concert, Monday April 4th at Sala Rossa.

I was also in Toronto for a first reading and workshop of a new work for choir and soloists by Emilie LeBel, written for Jumblies Theatre's Ground Floor Choir. I am honoured to be one of the four soloists along with Alex Samaras, Maryem Tollar and Hussein Janmohammed, with Ruth Howard at the helm, Shifra Cooper conducting and Britta Johnson on piano. The project is realized through a partnership with Soundstreams - you can read more about the project here.

One more show coming up very soon with Altra Voce - April 8 at Espace Cercle Carré, with Jeffrey Stonehouse on flute and James O'Callaghan on electronics. Works by James O'Callaghan, Charles Quevillon (création!), Luke Nickel, Luciano Berio, Kate Soper, Nicole Lizée, Beat Furrer and a new version of one of my solo voice pieces.
