Our research and creation residencies for the turf project (gallery concert of co-composed and commissioned performative works for voice + electronics) are in full swing! I've been working over the past few months with composers Philippe Battikha, Nicolas Hyatt and Patrick Saint-Denis (Montreal) and Rita Ueda (Vancouver) to develop ideas and images related to landscape. Ruby Kato Attwood is doing the visual/stage/lightning design and consultation and Codes D'Accès is presenting the project in April in Montreal. Check back soon for more updates! In the meantime, here is a little clip of some preliminary tests with Patrick Saint-Denis' interface:

I've also got a concert coming up very soon, a benefit for St. Matthias Anglican Church's Refugee Support Fund. I sing in the choir at St. Matthias every week and am looking forward to sharing some of my favourite music for solo voice and small vocal ensemble - I'll be joined by the ladies of ensemble ina for a second set. Featuring a première from my dear friend and collaborator Isaiah Ceccarelli as well as music and arrangements by Giacinto Scelsi, Henri Pousseur, John Cage, Aura Giles, Marie-Clare Saindon, Rita Ueda, Amelia McMahon, Joan Baez and more.
